NL keeps referring to “The Great Gatsby” as “The Big Gatsby” and it’s cracking me up. The film opens here on Friday, and despite the mixed reviews I’m looking forward to the visuals, costume design, and 21st century take on debauched, jazz age excess.

I am gearing up for a traditional Walpurgis Night this evening.  From what I’ve gathered, the Swedish celebration of the end of winter typically involves a fair amount of singing, bonfires, and booze. I’ll keep you posted.
